| Cathey Shaw "When my youngest daughter graduated from college I wanted to give her a special treat and take her on a tour to Alaska. Since she wants to be a photographer, I looked for a photo tour and found Alaska Iditarod Tours on the web. After telling Rich what I wanted, he was able to put together a wonderful custom trip for us. The trip was 1st rate. Rich was very a professional guide and a great source of information about Alaska. Leighann learned lots about photography from him and I would highly recommend his tours." | ![]() |
| Judy Salter "The tour was great fun with lots of adventures and a few thrills. The Iditarod starts were excitement filled. We were able to mingle with the mushers and dog teams without barriers. Rich, our guide, tailored activities to ensure that we had great photo opportunities, entertained us with wild stories and dispensed valuable photo tips. If you take the tour, be sure to read Libby Riddles book. It will orient you to the race and give you an idea of what is the lure of the trail." | ![]() |
| Wayne Hazel "Going to the see the Iditarod was the fulfillment of a lifetime dream for me. Ever since reading "Call of the Wild" in grade school I have dreamed of braving the last frontier. After reading a review of Montagna's trip in Outdoor Photographer magazine, I signed up for the adventure of a lifetime. Montagna's tour was the perfect blend of guided tour and individualism, attentive enough to guide us to the key things we needed to see, without creating an overbearing tour where every second is planned out. | ![]() |
